At Wabi Sabi Wellness, I support children (ages 3+), teens, and adults as they navigate life’s challenges. My approach is warm, compassionate, collaborative, and strength-based. I believe that everyone deserves to feel safe, seen, heard, and understood, and that meaningful growth begins when we feel accepted for who we are.

As a former teacher and resource teacher, I have a special understanding of neurodivergent children and the families who support them. I recognize that behaviour often communicates something we may not yet have the words to express. My experience has shaped the way I work with individuals and families, helping me look beyond what we see on the surface to better understand the feelings, needs, and experiences underneath.

I am a Certified Synergetic Play Therapist, and play is an important part of my work with children. Through play, children can explore their emotions, process experiences, and develop a deeper understanding of themselves in a way that feels natural and accessible. My approach is rooted in connection, attunement, and the understanding that children thrive when they feel supported rather than judged.

With teens and adults, I offer a person-centred, collaborative space to explore emotions, relationships, stress, and life’s challenges. I am passionate about the connection between our minds and bodies and how our internal experiences influence the way we feel, think, and respond. By building self-awareness and learning to recognize what is happening within us, we can develop greater emotional understanding, self-regulation, and compassion for ourselves and others.

Across all ages, I draw on attachment-based principles, mind-body awareness, and an understanding of interoception, our ability to notice and interpret the signals coming from within our bodies. I tailor my approach to each person’s unique needs, building on their strengths and working together to find strategies and perspectives that feel meaningful and manageable.

The philosophy of wabi-sabi is at the heart of my practice. It reminds us that there is beauty in imperfection and that we don’t need to have everything figured out to grow. Life can be messy, uncertain, and challenging, and we can still find connection, meaning, and moments of peace along the way.

I hope to offer a space where you don’t have to be perfect, have all the answers, or navigate everything on your own. Whether I’m supporting a child through play, helping a teen make sense of big feelings, or walking alongside an adult through a difficult season, I want each person to feel understood, valued, and empowered to move forward in their own way.
